Mr. Kenneth R. (Ted) Wicks, P.E., founded Wicks Consulting Services, Inc. 24 years ago. A former Mayor of Tavares and engineer for the County, Mr. Wicks knows what it takes to permit a project in Central Florida. The firm has been a prominent force in the growth of the area. Its location in the Lake County seat of Tavares has made it the "go to" firm for private and government projects in Lake County. We engage in projects throughout Central Florida, specializing in Lake, Orange, Sumter, and Marion counties.

Hundreds of projects consisting of subdivision permitting, water and wastewater resource planning, and environmental permitting, bear the “Wicks” engineering seal. Our firm has also provided services to municipalities such as Lake County Board of County Commissioners, City of Tavares, Mount Dora, and serves as City Engineer for the Cities of Umatilla and Fruitland Park . These engineering services have included water supply/distribution design, wastewater collection/treatment design, feasibility studies, roadway design/construction and plan review.

The firm’s original founder, Ted Wicks, is still a prominent member of the team and transferred ownership of the company to Daniel Hayes, P.E., Bill Rodd and Mark Maciel in 2007. Dan and Bill have over 20 years of local experience with some of the most prominent civil firms in the state and many high profile projects to their credit. Wicks Consulting Services, Inc. has a quality team that provides Civil Engineering, Waste Water/Sanitary Design, Environmental Services, and CAD Design Departments.
